Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Client Acquisition:
    • Develop and execute business development strategies to acquire direct customers in the US and European markets.
    • Identify new business opportunities and create tailored solutions for potential clients in need of software development services.
    • Manage the sales pipeline and ensure targets are met consistently through direct sales efforts, networking, and lead generation.
    • Negotiate and close high-value contracts with enterprise clients while ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales and marketing team focused on acquiring new clients and expanding market share in the US and Europe.
    • Oversee the hiring, training, and professional development of sales and marketing personnel.
    • Align the sales and marketing teams to ensure a seamless process for lead generation, nurturing, and conversion.
  • Market Expansion:
    • Lead the companys expansion efforts into European and US markets, working closely with the executive team to define and execute regional strategies.
    • Establish relationships with key industry players, partners, and stakeholders in the targeted regions.
    • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to adjust strategies and improve market positioning.
  • Sales & Marketing Alignment:
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement effective content and lead-generation strategies, including case studies, webinars, whitepapers, SEO, and digital campaigns.
    • Provide market insights and customer feedback to refine marketing efforts and improve lead quality.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting:
    • Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track sales activities, pipeline progress, and key performance metrics.
    • Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, providing insights into progress, challenges, and opportunities for growth.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in the software development or IT services industry.
    • Proven success in acquiring direct clients and closing high-value contracts, particularly in the US and European markets.
    • Previous experience in managing and scaling a sales and marketing team.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of software development processes, technologies (e.g., cloud computing, AI, enterprise software), and industry trends.
    • Experience in selling custom software solutions, SaaS products, or IT consulting services is a significant advantage.
  • Market Knowledge:
    • In-depth understanding of the US and European markets, including business culture, legal regulations, and industry-specific requirements.
    • Ability to navigate different business environments and engage with clients from diverse sectors.
  • Leadership & Team Building:
    • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and motivate teams to achieve sales and marketing goals.
    • Strong people management and coaching skills.
  • Sales & Negotiation Skills:
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and closing skills with experience in contract management and legal terms.
    • Ability to deliver persuasive presentations and proposals to senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Tools & Data-Driven:
    • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot) and other sales management tools.
    • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, with a client-centric mindset.
    • High adaptability, resilience, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bonus:
    • Fluency in additional languages (German, French, Spanish) is a plus.
    • Experience with SaaS or enterprise-level software solutions is highly desirable.
