Microsoft Senior SharePoint Admin/Developer

We are looking for a Microsoft Senior SharePoint Admin/Developer to own and expand our SharePoint ecosystem. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SharePoint solutions that streamline workflows, enhance collaboration, and drive operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with deep expertise in SharePoint administration, development, and customization.

Key Responsibilities

1. SharePoint Administration
• Install, configure, and maintain SharePoint environments (on-premise or SharePoint Online).
• Manage site collections, permissions, and overall architecture to ensure optimal security, performance, and reliability.
• Monitor health, usage, and performance analytics; implement robust strategies for disaster recovery and backup.
2. SharePoint Development & Customization
• Design, develop, and deploy SharePoint solutions including custom web parts, workflows, forms, and InfoPath/Power Apps solutions.
• Implement and manage SharePoint Framework (SPFx) applications, client-side scripting (JavaScript, TypeScript), and custom branding.
• Create solutions that integrate SharePoint with other Microsoft 365 services (Teams, Power Automate, Power BI, etc.) or external systems.
3. Solution Design & Architecture
• Gather and translate business requirements into scalable SharePoint solutions that deliver measurable business value.
• Develop and maintain SharePoint architecture documentation, site structures, and governance standards.
• Ensure best practices and industry standards are enforced for SharePoint development, deployment, and lifecycle management.
4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
• Partner with business units to identify areas for process improvement through SharePoint features and functionalities.
• Provide guidance, training, and documentation to end-users, power users, and other IT staff.
• Collaborate with security teams to maintain compliance and data protection standards.
5. Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement
• Diagnose and resolve SharePoint-related issues, performance bottlenecks, and configuration challenges.
• Maintain awareness of emerging Microsoft 365 and SharePoint technologies; recommend new features or enhancements to improve user experience.
• Drive continuous improvement of the SharePoint environment through automation, clean-up, and optimization efforts.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience:
• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SharePoint Administrator/Developer in mid-to-large enterprises.
• Proven expertise in SharePoint 2016/2019 On-Premise and/or SharePoint Online.
• Deep understanding of SharePoint architecture, site collections, permission models, and service applications.

• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in SharePoint Development (SharePoint Framework/SPFx, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, C#).
• Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) for building integrated solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, and Office 365 administration.
• Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft certifications such as MCSE: Productivity, MCSA: Office 365, or relevant SharePoint certifications.
• Experience with Nintex or other third-party workflow/tools for SharePoint.
• Experience migrating content and custom solutions from on-premise SharePoint to SharePoint Online.
• Proficiency with scripting languages like PowerShell for administration and automation tasks.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and sprint-based development.
