Role Summary :

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will join a world-class team committed to delivering high-quality, user-friendly products that distinguish us in the aerospace industry. Your primary focus will be on testing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and debugging software products across various platforms. In this role, you will be accountable for maintaining product quality and contributing to the companys Quality Initiatives, including ISO 9000 certifications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Customer Consultation : Engage with customers in the aviation and aerospace fleet and manufacturing industry to understand requirements and provide quality assurance insights.

- QA Methodology : Adopt and utilize the companys QA methodology and tools to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases, ensuring traceability of requirements across user stories and features.

- Testing Activities : Conduct smoke, functional, integration, and regression testing across browsers and mobile devices.

- Test Data Management : Set up and manage test data in dedicated Test environments, ensuring accuracy

and relevance.

- Scrum Participation : Participate in daily scrum meetings, providing updates on QA progress, including test case design, execution, defect identification, and resolution of environmental issues or blockers.

- Defect Tracking : Identify and track defects, investigate potential issues, and collaborate with the development team to implement fixes.

- Test Data Platforms : Organize and maintain multiple test data platforms, identifying necessary data to support test conditions and cases.

- UAT Preparation : Prepare test plans and test cases for handoff to customers for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions.

- Project Focus : Manage testing activities across multiple projects, ensuring continuous evaluation and user focused testing.

- Continuous Improvement : Leverage your passion for continuous improvement to help establish quality best practices across the organization.

- Tool Utilization : Work daily with Jira and TestRail, ensuring thorough documentation and tracking.

- Process Improvement : Identify process gaps and provide recommendations for quality improvements to the reporting manager.

Qualifications :

Education & Experience :

- 3 to 5 years of experience in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Test Automation.

- Proficient in Manual Testing, including smoke testing, functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, and UAT.

- Hands-on experience with frameworks like BDD, TestNG.

- Proficient in at least one automation tool such as WebdriverIO, Protractor, or Selenium.

- Solid knowledge of JavaScript and experience in automating Angular JS applications.

- Experience in developing test scripts, analyzing, and debugging failures.

- Familiarity with Agile methodology and experience working in Scrum processes.

- Experience in software process design, implementation, and execution.

- Expertise in writing well-organized test plans, test cases, and test execution approaches in Test Management tools.

- Experience with Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) and mapping test scenarios to customer requirements.

- Experience in testing mobile and web-based applications.

- Ability to work independently, triage issues, and prioritize tasks effectively.

- Proficiency in various project management and testing tools like Jira, Rally, TestRail, MTM, etc.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and time management.

Technical Skills :

- Strong knowledge of programming languages, preferably Java.

- Experience with web technologies including HTML, XML, JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, Angular.

- Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data validation.

- Basic knowledge of operating systems, browsers, and web applications.

- Experience with automation technologies such as Protractor, WebdriverIO, or Selenium is an advantage.

- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or Rest Assured.

- Knowledge in XML, SGML, HTML.
