Senior Performance Test Engineer

-Job responsibilities

• Develop and implement performance test plans and strategies: Create detailed plans to test the performance of software systems.
• Conduct system performance tests: Execute tests to evaluate the performance, scalability, stability, and stress of the system.
• Analyse test results: Provide detailed analysis and recommendations for performance improvements.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders: Work closely with development teams to identify system bottlenecks and suggest solutions.
• Create technical documentation: Document the testing process and results comprehensively.
• Configure and maintain test environments: Ensure accurate and consistent test results by managing test environments.
• Troubleshoot performance issues: Provide root cause analysis and troubleshooting for performance-related issues.
• Research emerging trends: Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in performance testing.
• Develop automated testing processes: Increase efficiency and accuracy through automation.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-6 years of experience in performance testing and engineering.
• Proficiency in performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, Neo Load), programming and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python), APM tools like (Dynatrace/App Dynamics) and understanding of performance testing methodologies.
• Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, AWS, or ITIL are a plus.
• Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of industry-standard software development life cycles (SDLCs).
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with multiple stakeholders
• A self-starter who is proactive and highly motivated. In depth knowledge of trends and development related testing. Should have good analytical skills.
• Nice to have experience in Agile teams.
• The ability to think logically.
• Good memory of how software and operating systems work.
• Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution.
• Ability to work well as a team player.
