Fire and Security Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fire and Security Officer to oversee the safety and security operations of our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of fire safety regulations, emergency procedures, and security protocols. This role requires a hands-on approach, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all occupants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fire Safety:
• Conduct regular fire safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
• Develop and implement comprehensive fire safety plans and emergency procedures.
• Train and educate staff on fire safety practices, evacuation procedures, and the use of fire safety equipment.
• Respond promptly to fire alarms and other emergencies, coordinating with local authorities as needed.
• Maintain fire safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and sprinkler systems.
• Conduct regular fire drills to ensure preparedness and compliance with regulations.
• Security Operations:
• Monitor security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems.
• Conduct regular security patrols of the facility to deter crime and identify potential security threats.
• Investigate security incidents and report findings to management.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies as needed.
• Maintain a positive and professional relationship with tenants, visitors, and staff.
• Risk Management:
• Identify and assess potential security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability assessments.
• Stay informed about the latest security threats and trends.
• Administrative Duties:
• Maintain accurate records of incident reports, security logs, and other relevant documentation.
• Prepare reports on security incidents, fire safety audits, and other related activities.
• Assist with the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Certification or diploma in Fire Safety
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in the hotel, mall, or related industry
• Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and emergency procedures
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical fitness and ability to handle physically demanding tasks
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Prior experience in sports, NCC, or military/navy is preferred
• Strictly no alcohol or tobacco consumption
