Job Description

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

What you ll do

Through this role you have an opportunity to design and develop intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the customer and the company new and existing functionality for the products
You also get to collaborate with team members to develop best practices and client requirements for the software.
Take ownership over architecture qualities of the end-to-end distributed applications
Design and develop the backend/server side components as per the requirements.
Deliver architectural services, including guidance and conceptual design as well as technical and process innovations
Work with engineers to generate and maintain code according to the agreed coding standard and best practices
Investigate the latest technology and build quick Proof of Concept functionalities to address future business needs
Work to meet delivery commitments of feature content throughout the whole Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC).
Open Stack/ Azure/ GCP/ AWS, Git, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes ,Kafka, Cassandra, Redis and other similar technologies and frameworks.
Perform code reviews, design reviews, guide the test team with the user scenarios

What you ll bring

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in software development and backend technologies.
3+ years of experience in Java and hands on coding skills
Strong experience in building distributed, event driven microservices using technologies like Java, Spring, Spring cloud, Kafka, Cassandra, Redis and other similar technologies and frameworks.
Experience in systems design, architecture and data structures.

Additional Qualifications:

Experience working with Micro-Services and event driven architecture.
Exposure/experience to retail/ecommerce technologies and domain.
Knowledge of databases like Oracle and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra
CI/CD development environments/tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes
Well versed in TDD, BDD methodologies and enabling tools and technologies(JUnit, TestNG etc)
Strong understanding of Agile methodology and leveraging SDLC tools to improve development and testing efficiency (JIRA, Jenkins, GIT, JUnit, Selenium, Lint)
Exposure to cloud infrastructure, such as Open Stack, Azure, GCP, or AWS
Technical leadership in design, implementation and support of large scale data and analytics solutions that are highly reliable, flexible, and scalable.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Walmart would usually lowball you if your current CTC is less or you don't have a competitive offer in hand. So please negotiate with HRs and don't give up. Walmart is very strict regarding their hybrid work policy so you'll have to work from office atleast 2 days per week. Even if you're going to your hometown they usually won't give WFH and you'll have to take paid leaves.
