Position Overview:
The Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing will be responsible for overseeing and driving the sales and marketing strategies. This role will focus primarily on Business-to-Business (B2B) sales and will require a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the hotel industry. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to execute plans aimed at increasing hotel revenue, enhancing brand visibility, and building relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and corporate partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Formulate and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth through B2B channels such as corporate accounts, event planners, travel agents, and other business partners.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with key corporate clients and partners. Ensure satisfaction and handle any concerns promptly.
- Market Analysis: Continuously monitor and analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the Sales & Marketing team to achieve departmental goals. Provide guidance, training, and support to junior team members.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of the sales and marketing budget and forecasts, ensuring the team meets revenue targets.
- Brand Awareness: Develop and implement marketing campaigns to enhance the hotel's visibility in the B2B space. Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels.
- Negotiation & Contract Management: Negotiate contracts and manage key accounts to maximize revenue. Ensure that pricing and terms align with hotel goals.
- Collaboration: Work in tandem with the operations and events teams to ensure the seamless execution of sales and marketing initiatives.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular reports on sales activities, key performance indicators, and market conditions to senior management.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and marketing within the hotel industry.
- Proven experience in B2B sales, with a strong network in corporate accounts, travel agencies, and business partners.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Proficiency in sales and CRM software tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- A track record of successful sales campaigns and meeting revenue targets.
- Knowledge of the latest marketing trends and digital tools is a plus.
