Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Scheduling:
    • Develop a comprehensive project plan, including scope, budget, resources, and timeline for FDR projects.
    • Establish milestones and set timelines for each phase, coordinating the work sequence to avoid delays.
    • Analyze project deliverables and estimate resource allocation and labor requirements.
  2. Site Management and Execution:
    • Supervise FDR processes, including pulverizing, grading, adding binding agents, and compacting.
    • Ensure that construction teams are following project specifications and FDR techniques effectively.
    • Monitor on-site productivity and quality, ensuring the work aligns with planned schedules and meets design specifications.
  3. Quality and Safety Management:
    • Implement safety protocols to ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
    • Conduct regular site inspections, ensuring that quality control measures are met.
    • Address and resolve any quality or safety issues that arise during construction.
  4. Budget Management:
    • Track and control project costs to ensure alignment with the budget.
    • Review and approve expenses, invoices, and purchases related to materials and equipment.
    • Proactively manage any budgetary changes due to project scope modifications or unforeseen site conditions.
  5. Team and Stakeholder Coordination:
    • Lead project team members, including engineers, supervisors, and laborers, to execute project tasks effectively.
    • Foster clear communication among team members, contractors, and stakeholders.
    • Facilitate regular meetings with clients, management, and subcontractors to update on progress, discuss issues, and negotiate solutions.
  6. Risk and Issue Management:
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
    • Troubleshoot and address any technical challenges that could impact project timelines or quality.
    • Maintain a proactive approach to solving issues promptly, minimizing project delays.
  7. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed records of project activities, including daily reports, material usage, and labor hours.
    • Prepare and submit project progress reports to senior management, keeping them informed of milestones and any variances from the project plan.
    • Ensure proper documentation of as-built drawings, compliance records, and final project deliverables.
  8. Vendor and Subcontractor Management:
    • Coordinate with vendors for the timely supply of materials, equipment, and services.
    • Manage subcontractor performance and ensure they adhere to project specifications and timelines.
    • Review subcontractor work and address any non-compliance issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 8-13 years of experience in project management, with a focus on road construction and FDR techniques.
  • Certifications: PMP, CCM, or equivalent project management certifications preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of FDR road construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and construction management tools.
    • Familiarity with construction industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Adherence to project timelines and budget.
  • Quality of work delivered against FDR and industry standards.
  • Compliance with safety protocols and minimal safety incidents.
  • Effective communication with stakeholders and client satisfaction.
  • Efficient resource and subcontractor management.
