FastAPI Expert

Job Responsibilities

• Own and be accountable for smooth and effective design and delivery of solutions as per book of work.
• Strong Communication Skills
• Collaborate with product owners, business managers and other developers to understand user requirements and develop high-quality software solutions.
• Write efficient, maintainable, and scalable Restful Python APIs/Backend using FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, Pydantic, PostgreSQL
• Develop, deploy and maintain documentation on processes, data flows, and data dictionary.
• Design, development, unit test and perform support test and deployment of new features.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor team members, take ownership of product architecture & code quality

Required Competencies

• 8+ years experience with design/ development of web applications, databases or other backend services.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Lead.
• 5+ years Experience with designing, developing and deploying solutions with Advanced FastAPI / SQLAlchemy / Alembic / Pydantic/ PostgreSQL
• Hands on with unit testing python code using pytest or similar frameworks
• Good code craftsmanship and software design skills.
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• A strong interest in best practice ways of working such as Design patterns, DevOps, TDD, Trunk-based Development, CI/CD and XP.
• Excellent communication skills.
• An understanding of agile development practices.
• Good Git version control skills with Github or similar code versioning systems.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
