Job Title: Assistant Manager Taxation

Job Summary:
We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Taxation to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing corporate tax compliance, ensuring adherence to direct and indirect tax regulations, handling tax audits, supporting tax planning initiatives, and assisting in the resolution of tax-related disputes and litigations. The position demands a detail-oriented professional with strong technical knowledge of income tax, GST, and transfer pricing regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tax Compliance:
  
• Oversee and manage direct and indirect tax compliance, including filing of Income Tax (TDS, Income Tax Returns) and GST Returns.
• Ensure compliance with all tax-related deadlines and regulatory requirements.

• Transfer Pricing Documentation:
  
• Assist in preparing transfer pricing documentation in accordance with regulatory guidelines and corporate policies.

• Tax Audits & Assessments:
  
• Assist in the management of tax audits, GST audits, and statutory audits, ensuring that all necessary documents and reports are submitted accurately.
• Support in responding to Income Tax Assessments and Appeals, liaising with tax authorities and external consultants.

• Tax Planning & Structuring:
  
• Support in tax planning and structuring initiatives to ensure efficient tax strategies and compliance.

• Litigation Management:
  
• Collaborate with internal and external tax advisors to manage ongoing tax disputes and litigations.
• Provide necessary documentation and analysis to support the resolution of tax-related issues.

• Tax Reporting:
  
• Assist in preparing tax reports and management information for internal stakeholders and statutory authorities.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in taxation, including direct and indirect taxes (Income Tax, GST).
• Sound knowledge of Indian tax laws, GST, TDS regulations, and Transfer Pricing.
• Experience in handling tax audits, income tax assessments, and GST audits.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex tax regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with tax officers, internal teams, and external consultants.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of tax software is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to commute to Andheri East, Mumbai.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CA Inter or CA qualification (or equivalent) is a plus.
