Senior Manual Test Engineer

UK WORKING HOURS - 2:30 PM IST till 10:30PM IST

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior QA (Manual Tester) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual and automation testing, with experience in functional, regression, and non-functional testing. This role involves planning, executing, and managing test cases for small changes to large-scale projects, ensuring high-quality delivery across web and non-web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning & Preparation

• Analyse requirements, change requests, and bug reports to define the testing scope and approach.
• Prepare test scenarios and identify environment and data requirements.
• Estimate time and resources required for test execution.

Test Execution & Defect Management

• Execute manual and automated test cases, ensuring thorough test coverage.
• Investigate and raise defects, collaborating with development teams for resolution.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of test results and issue tracking.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Product Owners and developers to identify test scenarios and address defects.
• Contribute to team meetings, providing regular progress updates on test scripting, execution, and blockers.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating and assisting business users during test cycles.

Regression & Automation Testing

• Create, maintain, and execute regression test scripts.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman or Rest API tools.
• Conduct cross-browser testing and verify functionality across multiple platforms.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong experience in functional testing, including regression and UAT.
• Proficient in API testing (Postman, Rest API, SOAP).
• Solid understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.
• Strong SQL skills for database querying and data validation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise across teams.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and well-organized.
• Flexibility to work UK hours as required by the team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in automation frameworks (Selenium with BDD/Cucumber, etc.).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and integration.
• Familiarity with Agile practices and workflows.
• Exposure to cross-browser testing and UX considerations.
• SQL Understanding with the ability to perform database queries and manipulation
