Performance Testing - Senior Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

1. Develop performance test plans, and test cases based on project requirements and application architecture.
2. Design and execute performance test scenarios to simulate various user loads, transaction volumes, and environmental conditions.
3. Utilize performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling to conduct tests and analyze results.
4. Identify performance bottlenecks, system limitations, and areas for optimization through performance monitoring and analysis.
5. Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot performance issues and implement performance improvements.
6. Generate comprehensive performance test reports and present findings to stakeholders, including recommendations for optimization.
7. Knowledge on monitoring tools like New Relic, Grafana, Kibana etc.

Skills and Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience with ability to work in an agile team
• Strong understanding of software architecture, web technologies, APIs, and databases.
• Ability to analyze system resource utilization, response times, and throughput to optimize performance.
• Experience in presenting performance test results, analysis, and recommendations to project stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and diagnose performance issues.
• Capacity to troubleshoot complex performance problems and propose effective solutions.
• Proven experience in performance testing, with a focus on web-based applications, APIs, and databases.
• Strong understanding of performance testing concepts, methodologies, and tools.
• Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Certification in performance testing (e. g. , JMeter, Loadrunner, NewRelic, GCP) is a plus.
