Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Lead Proposal Development (Quality SME) to lead a team of proposal writers in producing high-quality, compliant federal proposals. This role requires a blend of leadership, strategic oversight, and hands-on involvement to ensure that all deliverables meet stringent federal standards and exceed client expectations.

- Skills: Proposal Writing Development, Quality Assurance, PMBOK Shipley Methodologies, Federal Proposal Writing.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of 5-6 proposal writers, providing guidance, feedback, and training to enhance their skills.
- Participate in client calls and meetings to understand requirements and clarify expectations.
- Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate proposal status, timelines, and challenges to clients and team members.
- Work with clients (POCs) to define project (proposal) requirements (compliance, pp, forms, timelines, etc.) and set clear expectations.
- Work with the delivery teams to set schedules, and deliverable expectations (timelines and quality)
- Identify delivery quality gaps and plan/s to fill the gaps
- Collaborate with proposal writers to enhance content and structure and Conduct final quality checks to maintain high standards.
- Support the team in crafting compelling, client-focused proposals.
- Identify opportunities for streamlining workflows and enhancing efficiency.
- Provide regular updates and reports on team performance and proposal quality metrics.
- Work on and create proposal strategies for clients in Red or Amber or require support regarding new ideas or strategies.
- Implement proposal strategies, technical features, benefits, win themes, value propositions, and discriminators. Use other intelligence-gathered information and incorporate it into proposal sections.
- Facilitate post-submission reviews to gather insights and improve future proposals/Actively seek client feedback on submitted proposals and use insights to enhance future submissions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in proposal writing and management, preferably in the IT sector.
- Proven experience in federal proposal development and quality assurance.
- Proven experience in proposal development and quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of proposal writing principles, including content development, formatting, and compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of PMBOK and Shipley methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors and inconsistencies.
