Project Engineer - Fire protection

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Fire Protection Engineer with over 6 years of expertise in the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of comprehensive fire protection systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using industry-standard design tools such as AutoCAD and capable of managing multiple fast-paced projects while fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Engineering:

• Develop detailed designs for fire protection systems, including fire hydrant systems, pump rooms, sprinkler systems, and gas suppression systems.
• Create system layouts, schematics, and drawings using AutoCAD.
• Ensure designs comply with local, national, and international fire safety codes and standards.

Project Execution:

• Lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire protection systems.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

• Oversee routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of fire protection systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in fire alarm, PA, CCTV, access control, and security systems.
• Ensure all systems remain fully operational and compliant with safety regulations.

Stakeholder Management:

• Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate project requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and training to team members and end-users.
• Communicate effectively to report progress, challenges, and solutions.

Compliance & Safety:

• Conduct risk assessments and fire safety audits.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and codes.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for audits and regulatory approvals.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in design software, particularly AutoCAD.
• Thorough knowledge of fire safety codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, BIS).
• Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in fire safety or related fields (e.g., NICET, CFPS).
• Experience with advanced security system integration.
• Knowledge of BIM software tools.
