Image signal processing engineer is expected to work through entire life cycle of automotive image processing spec and algorithm design, development, enhancement and maintenance of ISP blocks, ISP algorithms, image quality testing and image sensor characterization. Study, research analysis, test prove out of basic to advanced image processing algorithms with result oriented experimentation, and data driven results demonstration in both Internal and international forums with excellent visual interpretations of data.
- Design Image signal processing algorithms of high frame rate imaging for automotive safety use cases using MATLAB, Pytorch or/ and advanced AI/ML techniques for vision perception systems.
- Interface, test and validation of image characteristics using Optical engineering tools such as ANSYS Speos, IMATEST tools etc.,
- Optical Image sensor drivers and imager controls design, development and configurations, including HDR stitching, data compression, embedded image data and statistics configuration, sensor safety mechanism configuration , sensor frame rate, frame size and bandwidth determination/configuration .
- Support in deployment of ISP Algorithms such as auto exposure tuning, auto white balance, automatic gain control, black level correction, defective pixel correction algorithms etc., onto selected Hardware SOC.
- Design and deployment tuning of Image signal processing blocks using hardware accelerators such as edge enhancement, Noise filtering, demosaicing, color correction, local tone mapping, color domain conversions, lens shading correction, lens distortion correction, multi scalar image generation.
- Test, perform experiment and analyze image quality metrics using state of the art optical test procedures for determination of image sharpness (MTF), Auto exposure ctrl parameters, Auto white balance, Color accuracy noise (SNR), HDR, brightness ctrl in low lighting, lens shading, defective pixel correction, lens distortion correction, dynamic range black level correction etc.,
- Ownership of Image sensor performance evaluation using EMVA1288 / P2020, image data analysis on sensor noise performance, SNR, HDR etc.,
Your Background
- 2 8 Years of experience in ISP
- Matlab and usage of image signal processing modules, usage of AI/ML Matlab modules.
- Mathematical and arithmetic knowledge in image processing techniques.
- Opto mechanical, image processing and embedded systems engineering knowledge.
- Preferred advantage:
- Python and Embedded C programming skills,
- PhD in Image signal processing.
- Embedded systems software development, AI / ML experience
