Job description
Business Development (BD) Executive
Compensation:
Salary with Performance based Bonus.
Job Location: Bangalore
Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development executive/Manager. The Business
Development executive will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business
opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, negotiating contracts, and
achieving sales targets. They will also be responsible for market research, competitor analysis,
and developing strategies to drive business growth.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in business development, preferably within a law firm or
professional services environment, with a focus on Intellectual Property (IP).
- Knowledge of IP practices (patent, trademark, copyright etc.)
- Understanding of tech industries (AI, software, mobile, life sciences, cleantech)
- Bachelor's degree required, Law/MBA Degree is a plus!
- Strong problem solving and reporting skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates good judgement in communication
- Analytical thinker and problem solver
- Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets
- Should be open to do field sales
- Marketing campaigns, Sales initiatives, and Service offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Devise practice group strategy and attend meetings, identifying opportunities for cross-
marketing and putting plans into place to carry out.
- Design and implement go-to-market strategies and identify business development
opportunities.
- Draft pitch material and key presentation materials
- Engage with key external stakeholders for research, conference or thought leadership
engagement opportunities
- Strategize ideas and execute methods for improving the Firms business development
initiatives
- Oversee content production for speciality events, sponsorship opportunities, speaking
engagements, etc.
- Carrying out Business Development activities for the US & European markets.
- Lead the team in identifying and targeting new clients, including legal firms and corporate
entities.
- Send proposals, make presentations, and engage with clients to secure IP business and IP
support services.
- Collaborate with partners and attorneys in the IP practice group to develop and implement
strategic business development plans and initiatives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential clients, industry trends, and
competitive opportunities in the IP sector.
- Coordinate and support the preparation of pitches, proposals, and presentations for
prospective clients, ensuring alignment with client needs and firm capabilities.
- Assist with the planning and execution of client events, webinars, and thought leadership
initiatives to showcase the firms expertise in IP law.
