Patent Associate

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Patent Drafting: Draft detailed patent applications, describing inventions, technical specifications, and potential applications.
2. Prior Art Search: Conduct comprehensive searches to assess the novelty and patentability of inventions by analyzing existing patents and publications.
3. Patent Prosecution: Interact with patent offices, responding to examiner's questions and amending claims to secure the grant of patents.
4. Client Interaction: Collaborate with inventors, researchers, and companies to understand the technical aspects of inventions and transform them into a suitable patent application.
5. IP Strategy Support: Assist in the development of intellectual property strategies, managing client portfolios, and guiding them through the patenting process.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

1. Educational Background: Bachelors or higher degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Communications/Instrumentation Engineering
2. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex technical information and document the details in a simpler language.
3. Attention to Detail: Details-oriented mindset to understand the nuances of inventions and technical differences.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication for preparing applications and communicating with clients and patent examiners.
