Job Title: Business Development Manager (BIM Services)


Location: Pune/Mumbai, India (with international travel for business development)

As we expand our global footprint, we are looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to drive growth across international markets.


Position Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical sales, customer relationship management, and market research with a focus on BIM services. You will target clients across Europe, the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, and the US, including architectural firms, structural engineers, BIM companies, EPCs, and engineering consultants.

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in promoting and selling our BIM services, which include Structural Revit Modelling, Real Estate BIM Modelling, and MEP BIM services. You will drive international business growth, develop tailored proposals, and establish long-term relationships with key stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation and Sales: Generate and close leads in international markets (Europe, Middle East, US, AU, and NZ) by targeting architects, structural engineers, EPCs, engineering consultants, and BIM companies.
  • Proposal Development: Develop and present customized proposals and pitches for BIM modelling services, ensuring alignment with client needs for Structural, MEP, and Real Estate BIM projects.
  • Technical Presentations: Conduct presentations showcasing technical capabilities, case studies, and solutions to senior engineers, consultants, and decision-makers.
  • Market Research: Research and identify new opportunities, clients, and trends in the AEC and BIM industries to expand business.
  • Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitors offerings, pricing strategies, and market trends to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Client Solutioning: Analyze customer requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions to promote Inventive's BIM services (Revit Structural, Real Estate BIM, and MEP BIM).
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the technical team to ensure accurate scoping of projects and deliverables, leading to long-term client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Industry Representation: Represent Inventive at exhibitions, webinars, seminars, and networking events to increase brand visibility and market reach.
  • Sales Reporting: Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to leadership teams, tracking progress and meeting targets.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in selling BIM services (Revit Structural, Real Estate BIM, MEP BIM) to international markets, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets (at least $200K+).
  • Client Interaction: Strong experience in dealing with clients such as architectural firms, engineering consultants, and EPCs.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Revit workflows, BIM modelling standards, and common pain points within the AEC industry.
  • Consultative Selling: Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, client acquisition, and key account management.
  • Global Market Focus: Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet sales targets in diverse international markets.
  • Self-Starter: Strong ability to work autonomously and contribute to the growth of a global business.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Technical Sales in AEC Industry: 3-5 years of experience in business development or technical sales within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.
  • BIM Software Proficiency: Experience working with BIM software like Revit, AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar.
  • Industry Experience: Background in BIM consulting, engineering solutions, and EPC companies.
  • Market Analysis Tools: Familiarity with market research tools and the ability to strategize and execute sales plans effectively.

  • Willingness to travel internationally for business development.
