Civil Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design and Planning: Create detailed engineering designs and drawings for civil engineering projects. Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan and design projects.
• Project Management: Oversee the construction, maintenance, and inspection of infrastructure projects. Manage schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Construction Supervision: Supervise construction sites, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Material Selection and Testing: Select appropriate materials and methods for construction. Conduct tests on materials to ensure they meet the required specifications.
• Structural Analysis: Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the safety and stability of designs and structures.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
• Quality Control: Ensure all work complies with relevant standards and regulations. Perform quality checks during all phases of the project.
• Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise during the planning, construction, or maintenance phases, providing solutions and adjustments as necessary.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure the project complies with local, state, and federal safety regulations and environmental laws.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all project activities, costs, and schedules. Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other civil engineering software.
Strong knowledge of engineering principles, methods, and best practices.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field. A masters degree or professional certification (e.g., PE license) is a plus.

3-4 years of experience in civil engineering.
