Site Reliability Engineer

Site Reliability EngineerResponsibilities: Participate in complex projects and design new implementations as required to support new business initiatives.

Ensure every step of a new transaction has proper logging to provide accurate reporting.

Engage closely with application development teams, providing project-specific requirements for every project/release relative to logging, monitoring and alerting.

Ensure alerts contain standardized payload as defined in the SRE procedures.

Work closely with Level 2 and Level 3 to ensure all process changes are reflected in existing dashboards in use by the EMC.

Ensure proper alert thresholds are maintained.

Create and maintain dashboards for the EMC and other teams as requested.

Validate CMDB information being fed to BigPanda is current and accurate.

Develop and maintain validation scripts executed by the team.

Actively identify new learning opportunities for self and team.

Use newly gained knowledge on the job.
