Intermediate Application Developer - Guidewire Claim Center

Job Summary
This position provides input, support, and performs full systems life cycle management activities (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.). He/She participates in component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for Applications Development (AD) initiatives to meet business requirements. This position provides input to applications development project plans and integrations. He/She collaborates with teams and supports emerging technologies to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives. This position provides knowledge and support for applications development, integration, and maintenance. He/She provides input to department and project teams on decisions supporting projects.

• Performs systems analysis and design.

• Leading Junior & Intermediate Developers

Primary Skills:

• Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in managing projects related to and/or leveraging one or more of the following areas related to systems configurations within the Insurance industry, including:
• Object Oriented Programming;
• Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, ContactManager and Portal;
• Understanding of Guidewire cloud concepts is preferred;
• GOSU, PCFs, Business Rules, Underwriting Rules and Guidewire Event; Messaging Rules Framework;
• Guidewire Integration Framework - Cloud APIs, App Events and Guidewire; Integration Gateway;
• Rest Client API to consume rest services and Guidewire Integration Views;
• Consuming/Publishing SOAP APIs and Rest APIs;
• Guidewire Workflows and Forms development;
• Guidewire Advanced Product Designer Native/Retrofit;
• Spring Boot Application Development; and,
• Experience working on tools like Git, Bit Bucket, TeamCity and Data Dog.

Secondary Skills:

• Some Project Management Skills
• Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Methodology including program increments, PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and other Scaled Agile ceremonies. Participate in daily scrum meetings, analyze, and assign user stories to agile development team
• Strong understanding of the Microsoft productivity suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Self-Motivated learner

Qualifications:

• 5 to 7 years of experience in development and implementation of Guidewire applications.
• Bachelors Degree or International equivalent
• Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field - Preferred
