Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer AWS, Linux, Oracle | Media (Live Streaming) Domain

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong background in AWS, Linux, and Oracle to join our team in the Media domain. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our streaming infrastructure, enhancing our CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the high availability and scalability of our platform. This position involves collaboration with development, operations, and quality teams to drive our services' continuous integration, deployment, and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure on AWS tailored to high-traffic live streaming environments.
  
• System Administration: Manage Linux servers, focusing on performance tuning, security hardening, and efficient resource utilization.
  
• Database Management: Configure, optimize, and monitor Oracle databases within the cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and backup strategies.
  
• CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools to support frequent, reliable releases.
  
• Monitoring & Optimization: Implement and configure monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus) to track key metrics and ensure optimal performance of streaming services.
  
• Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts (e.g., Shell, Python) to automate deployments, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.
  
• Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to best security practices within the live streaming platform, manage firewalls, IAM policies, and support audits.
  
• Troubleshooting & Support: Rapidly troubleshoot issues in live production environments, provide on-call support as needed, and improve incident response protocols.
  
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and product teams to understand requirements and incorporate them into infrastructure planning and operational strategies.
  

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1+ years in DevOps or related roles, with proven experience in AWS, Linux, and Oracle database management.
  
• AWS Expertise: Proficient with core AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, Ansible etc.) and hands-on experience in deploying and managing production workloads.
  
• Linux: Strong expertise in Linux administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.), networking, shell scripting, and system security.
  
• Database: In-depth knowledge of Oracle database setup, backup, restoration, and performance optimization in high-availability environments.
  
• Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate tasks and streamline operations.
  
• CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, AWS CodePipeline) and version control systems (Git).
  
• Live Streaming Knowledge: Familiarity with video encoding, streaming protocols (HLS, DASH), and CDN management is a plus.
  
• Monitoring Tools: Proficiency in using monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar.
  
• Problem-solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills, particularly in high-pressure live streaming or real-time data environments.
  
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
