Senior Peer Review Administrator

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct thorough screening of scientific manuscripts submitted to the journal, focusing on life and physical science disciplines
• Ensure adherence to ethical standards and publication guidelines in the peer review process
• Collaborate with editorial team members to identify suitable reviewers for submitted manuscripts
• Stay updated on current trends, developments, and advancements in life and physical sciences relevant to the journal's scope
• Assist in managing the peer review workflow, including assigning and tracking manuscripts
• Communicate effectively with authors, reviewers, and editors to facilitate the peer review process and address any queries or concerns
• Contribute to the development and implementation of editorial policies and procedures to enhance the quality and efficiency of the peer review process
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in peer review and scientific publishing

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification: Master's degree (M.Sc.) in life sciences and physical sciences
• Experience: 1 4 years
• Familiarity with scientific publishing standards, peer review best practices, and ethical guidelines
• Prior experience working in online peer review system and manuscript screening
• Rich knowledge in the relevant subject background
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Collaborative team player with a commitment to professionalism and integrity in scientific research and publishing
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook and Excel are required

Work Location : Chennai/Pondicherry/Trichy (It's based on candidate's preference)
