Sr Process Instrumentation Designer

Role & responsibilities

• Key competencies: Functional

- Experience in E3D design module (Cable tray, tray support and equipment /instrument modeling) for 3D Model Work

- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks

- Understand Other Discipline construction drawings (Piping, Structural, Electrical)

- Knowledge of Instrument Installation Engineering

• Key Deliverables

- 3D Model - Instrumentation items

- Cable Tray/ Routing Layout

- Instrument Location Layout

- Control Room Building Layouts (Tray, base frame)

- Instrument Air Distribution Layout

- Instrument Cable Schedule and Drum Schedule

- Instrument Impulse line Hook-up Diagrams

- Instrument Installation Drawings

- Instrumentation Bulk MTO.

• Capable of independently doing drafting of process related drawings.
• Should be capable to prepare BFDs, PFDs, UFDs, P&IDs from sketches or basic information or mark-up documents provided by process engineer.
• Preparation of Line List, Instrument list, Equipment list, etc. from P&IDs.
• Ensure quality through rigorous checking of soft and hard copies.
• Review and & update of BFDs, PFDs, UFDS and P&IDs through various stages of projects.
• Keeping track of the revision changes of all the process drawings prepared.
• Coordinate with process engineers for the changes through various stages of PFDs and P&IDs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Necessary: ITI/ Diploma Instrumentation/ Electronics

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Well conversant with E3D design for Instrumentation items.
• Excellent working knowledge of preparing PFDs, UFDs and P&IDs in Autocad. Experience in Aveva P&ID will be an added advantage.
