Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Design Engineer to join our team in New Mumbai and Pune. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining instrumentation systems within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Chemical industries. This role will involve collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful design and implementation of instrumentation systems for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Instrumentation Design Basis Reports: Develop comprehensive reports that outline the design principles, instrument selection criteria, and control system strategies for various projects.
• Design & Sizing of Instruments: Perform detailed calculations and design of instrumentation systems, including selection, sizing, and specifying instruments for various industrial processes.
• Instrument Data Sheets & Specifications: Prepare and maintain instrument data sheets and specifications for various control and instrumentation equipment.
• Vendor Drawing Review: Review and approve vendor drawings, ensuring compliance with design requirements, specifications, and industry standards.
• Preparation of Instrument Index & I/O List: Create and maintain instrument indexes, I/O lists, and other documentation critical for project implementation.
• Instrument Hook-up Drawings: Develop and review instrument hook-up drawings for installation and commissioning, ensuring accuracy and alignment with design specifications.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance on instrumentation design work, resolving technical issues, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Coordination with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate closely with project teams, including process, electrical, and mechanical engineers, to ensure effective system integration and timely project completion.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure that all design work adheres to relevant industry standards, client specifications, and safety regulations.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and operation of instrumentation systems, including troubleshooting and resolving any instrumentation-related issues.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• 7-15 years of hands-on experience in instrumentation and control design and engineering.
• Strong expertise in instrumentation design for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Chemical industries.
• Proficient in preparation of instrument data sheets, I/O lists, instrument sizing, and preparation of design documents.
• Experience in reviewing vendor drawings and ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
• Ability to lead a team of engineers and coordinate effectively with multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Deep knowledge of control and instrumentation systems, safety instrumentation, and process automation.
• Familiarity with industry standards (ISA, IEC, and API) and regulations related to instrumentation design.
• Proficiency with design and drafting tools such as AutoCAD, SmartPlant Instrumentation, and other relevant software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering
• Certifications in relevant standards or advanced instrumentation systems.
• Prior experience with large-scale projects and major EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contractors.
