Experience Level: 5-13 years experience in Detail Engineering of Petrochemical/ Chemical/ Refinery/ offshore projects

Academic Qualification: B.E./ B.Tech in Instrumentation

Current Band Placement – E High / F Low

Expectations and Responsibilities:

Candidate should have hands-on experience of below Instrumentation activities as part of Project execution, as a minimum:

I. Technical :

A) Field Instrumentation Procurement Activities

- Preparation of MR/PR instrument data sheets of field instruments, valves, analysers etc.

- Sizing of Inline instruments

- Technical Bid Analysis

- Vendor drawing review

- Inspection of various instruments at vendor’s factory.

B) Control and Safety System Engineering

- I/O database , Alarm & Trip schedule

- Control / Safety System lifecycle procurement

- Cause & Effects, Logic diagrams

C) Field Design Engineering

- Instrument Index

- Instrument Hook-ups, JB/Cable Schedule, Wiring drawings, Loop drawings

- Bulk MTOs

- Review of Instrumentation Location Layouts, Cable Tray layouts, F&G layouts and Control room layouts

- Participation in 3D Model review

II. General

- Project Execution Lifecycle

- International Codes & Standards

- Hazardous Area Classification & Protection Philosophies

- Interfaces with other Engineering disciplines in Project

- Co-ordination, conduct meetings with Client / Vendors

- Quality and Schedule consciousness

- Latest Technology fundamentals like Digital, Wireless etc

III. Software skills

- SPI (experience Advantageous)

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

- Sizing software like Flowel (Orifice), First-view (Control Valve), Pentair (Safety Valve), InstruCalc

IV. Personality Skills

- Good and Effective communication skills(written and oral)
