Why are we hiring a Cost Analyst? We're on the hunt for a Cost Analyst, Reporting to the Head of FP&A and working closely with several department heads and core finance team, this is a pivotal role within Group Finance.  This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a fast-paced expanding business, which operates in numerous countries.
A key focus of this role will be to produce a cost plan/forecast and to analyse the variance each month compared to the actuals.
This role will suit an individual who is inquisitive in nature and has an eye for detail while working to meet key deadlines and reporting milestones.

What are you responsible for?

Responsible for the consolidation of the Cost forecast:

• Work with numerous areas of the business to produce a cost profile for the forecast.
• The costs need to be built from the ground up by each supplier to be used in a zero-based budgeting system.
• Work with Finance to make sure supplier names line up with those used in Netsuite.
• Review forecast and challenge managers of what they are requesting.
• Manage or assist with populating Adaptive with forecast cost details.

Responsible for the third-party cost forecast

• Work with the Technology department to understand our hosting costs for future periods.
• Work with the Finance Business Partner to understand the new revenue business being forecast and use the information to update Technology department on new demands and if our current forecast can accommodate it.

Responsible for analysis of the forecast to previous versions:

• Create reports bridging the changes in the cost by department and or GL codes.
• Work with department managers to produce commentary for the above bridging.
• Ad hoc analysis as required.

Responsible for analysis of actuals vs Plan/forecast:

• Provide accurate and detailed analysis of the variances within COGS and Expenses.
• Create reports to help build and explain the analysis.
• Present the findings to the Leadership team, Finance and other department managers
• Ad hoc analysis as required

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• 3+ years experience in a financial analysis role
• Proficient with Microsoft excel
• Good technical accounting background
• Sector experience desirable but not essential (but must be willing to learn and adapt quickly)
