Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Administrator with 7+ years of experience to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support our growing business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
• Configure and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, and access points.
• Develop and enforce network security policies to protect sensitive data and systems.
• Conduct regular network assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address potential risks.
• Collaborate with IT team members on projects related to network architecture and upgrades.
• Document network configurations, changes, and procedures to maintain accurate records.
• Provide technical support and training to junior staff and end-users as needed.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance network performance.

Firewall Management:

• Configure, monitor, and maintain firewall devices (such as Palo Alto, Fortinet & Sophos).
• Implement and manage firewall rules, NAT policies, VPN configurations, and security protocols.
• Perform regular firewall policy reviews to ensure they are optimized and compliant with internal and external security policies.
• Analyze firewall logs and alerts, identifying and mitigating security threats.
• Regularly update firewall firmware and software to ensure network security is up to date.

Network Security:

• Monitor network security vulnerabilities and implement appropriate solutions, including intrusion prevention, anti-virus, and malware defenses.
• Design, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard company networks and systems.
• Collaborate with the IT security team to develop security strategies and incident response plans.
• Conduct periodic vulnerability assessments and penetration tests in conjunction with other IT teams.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, PCI-DSS, GDPR) and corporate security policies.

Network Administration:

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless networks to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Configure and support network hardware including switches, routers, and access points.
• Perform regular network performance monitoring and analysis to anticipate network issues and enhance performance.
• Ensure network redundancy, high availability, and disaster recovery capabilities.

VPN Management:

• Set up and maintain secure remote access VPNs for employees and third parties.
• Monitor and troubleshoot VPN performance issues and access problems.
• Ensure that VPN access is in line with company security policies.

Monitoring & Reporting:

• Utilize monitoring tools to oversee network traffic and firewall activity (e.g., SolarWinds).
• Generate detailed reports on network performance, security incidents, and firewall rule effectiveness.
• Monthly & quarterly ISP uptime report.
• Develop and maintain network documentation including diagrams, procedures, and guidelines.

Collaboration & Support:

• Work closely with other IT teams (systems, security, helpdesk) to ensure smooth network operations and cross-functional issue resolution.
• Provide technical support for network-related escalations and troubleshoot complex issues.

Train and assist team members with firewall and security procedures.
