System Automation Engineer

Brief Role Description:

As a System Automation Engineer, one will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions that enhance the efficiency and reliability of our systems.

This includes automating deployment processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines and streamlining operational workflows.

Expertise in scripting and automation tools will help in improving system performance, reduce manual intervention, and ensure consistent environments across our infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyse existing processes, identify automation opportunities, and develop scripts and frameworks to automate routine tasks.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices to enhance system reliability and security.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve system reliability

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python etc.
• Strong understanding of operating systems (Linux/Unix and Windows).
• Experience with network protocols and configurations .
• Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
• Ability to think critically and optimize processes.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
