Quality Assurance Lead (10-12 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Quality Assurance Lead to join our team in Bangalore or Chennai. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of quality assurance for our complex, integrated systems. You will leverage your deep expertise in QA methodologies, automation tools, and team leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. This position requires a strong understanding of diverse tech stacks, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test strategies.

- Lead and manage a team of 3-4 QA engineers.

- Define and implement QA processes and best practices.

- Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

- Oversee the development and execution of test cases for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.

- Utilize test case management suites like TestRail or similar tools.

- Ensure comprehensive test coverage for complex, integrated systems.

- Conduct API testing using Postman or other API testing tools.

- Assist developers with unit testing and integration testing.

- Implement and maintain automated test suites using Selenium or other automation tools.

- Drive the adoption of automation testing to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

- Understand the business context of the applications and systems under test.

- Collaborate with tech leads and developers to ensure quality is built into the development process.

- Proactively identify and address integration and quality issues.

- Mentor and guide QA team members.

- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.

- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

- Oversee the defect tracking and resolution process.

- Ensure timely resolution of defects and provide root cause analysis.

- Generate and communicate test reports and metrics to stakeholders.

- Provide regular updates on testing progress and quality status.

- Communicate effectively with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements :

Experience :

- 10+ years of QA work in highly complex, integrated systems spanning multiple different tech stacks.

- Knowledge of test case management suites like TestRail or others.

- Understanding of how to operate Postman (or other API testing/SIT capabilities) for manual testing.

- Functional know-how of automated testing suites like Selenium, or others.

- Ability to understand the business context and ask relevant integration/quality questions.

- Experience in managing a team of 3-4 QA engineers.

- Ability to build test plans and test strategies.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
