Job Summary:
We are looking for an IoT Support and Testing Engineer to join our team in the solar energy industry. The candidate will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and providing support for IoT-enabled solar monitoring systems. This role involves working with hardware, software, and cloud-based platforms to ensure optimal performance of solar energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Testing & Validation:
1. Conduct functional, performance, and reliability testing for IoT-based solar monitoring systems
2. Develop test cases for hardware and software validation.
3. Analyse and report test results, identifying and resolving issues.
Support & Troubleshooting:
1. Provide technical support to clients and field teams for IoT-enabled solar solutions
2. Diagnose and resolve hardware, firmware, and software issues in IoT devices.
3. Collaborate with R&D and software development teams to address bugs and improvements.
4. Maintain logs of reported issues and solutions for continuous improvement
IoT Device Management:
1. Configure, update, and maintain IoT devices for solar energy monitoring.
2. Monitor device connectivity, data transmission, and cloud integration.
3. Implement firmware updates
Integration & Documentation:
1. Work with software engineers to integrate IoT devices with cloud platforms and analytics tools.
2. Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and troubleshooting manuals.
3. Train internal teams and customers on IoT system usage and best practices.
Skills & Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical or related field.
2. Experience in IoT device testing, troubleshooting, and support.
3. Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, and battery storage.
4. Solutions& communication protocols ( Modbus, LoRa,TCP-IP etc.).
5. Hands-on experience with IoT platforms, cloud services (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, etc.), and APIs.
6. Familiarity with embedded systems, sensors, and data acquisition.
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
8. Good communication and customer support skills
9. Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site support.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the solar energy sector.
