Unity Tech Lead

Nature of Work

As a Technical Lead at IG, your key responsibility will be to drive the technical strategy and implementation of land-based casino game development using Unity. You will lead a team of developers, architect robust game solutions, and ensure high-quality delivery of complex gaming projects

Role & responsibilities

Technical Leadership:

• Lead the technical design and implementation of gaming solutions
• Establish and maintain best practices for Unity game development
• Develop scalable and performant game systems
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews
• Ensure adherence to coding standards and architectural guidelines

Game Development & Innovation:

• Collaborate with Game Design and Mathematics teams to translate game concepts into technical implementations
• Optimize game performance across different hardware platforms
• Develop innovative technical solutions for game mechanics
• Integrate advanced rendering and graphics techniques
• Ensure compliance with gaming regulations and standards

Performance & Quality Assurance:

• Conduct comprehensive performance profiling and optimization
• Implement robust testing strategies (unit, integration, performance testing)
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues
• Manage technical debt and refactor existing codebases

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with Game Design, Art, and Mathematics teams
• Communicate technical challenges and solutions effectively
• Participate in game design reviews and provide technical insights
• Support pre-sales technical discussions

R&D & Technology Strategy:

• Stay updated with latest Unity technologies and gaming industry trends
• Contribute to the companys technology roadmap
• Participate in proof-of-concept and experimental game development
• Share knowledge through internal workshops and documentation
