Software Engineer, Associate

The candidate will develop, maintain, and support automated tests and tools as well as perform manual testing to ensure the application is reliable. Candidate should have a strong background with QA testing and practices including experience with automated testing for complex applications.

Responsibilities:

• 2+ years experience in developing, maintaining and executing test scripts
• Responsible for creation of test scripts using existing Framework
• Responsible for the maintenance and execution of test scripts
• Participate in automation test script reviews to ensure testability and maintainability.
• Execute manual and automation regression test suites
• Analyze test results, report defects, track resolutions and verify fixes.
• Collaborate with application team of Quality Analysts, Developers, Business Analysts to identify, develop, create, and improve automated testing processes/framework.
• Analyze test results, report defects, track resolutions, and verify fixes.
• Continuously learn and develop domain knowledge.
• The role is for someone who will be primarily involved with test automation, but there will be a substantial amount of manual testing. During the initial six months in the role, there will be a substantially larger amount of manual testing as the candidate gains experience with the product.

Basic Qualification:

• Minimum of Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years in building, maintaining and executing automated test scripts.
• Experience in Test automation frameworks and tools.
• Experience in at least one programming language
• Experience performing a broad range of manual and automation testing activities.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, best practices and Test tools
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Self-starter who can grasp difficult concepts quickly.

Preferred Qualification:

• 2+ years of experience at a SaaS company.
• Experience with version control systems like Git
