The SharePoint Lead is responsible for the overall architecture, development, and support of the organizations SharePoint environment. This role will involve leading a team of SharePoint developers and administrators, designing and implementing SharePoint solutions that meet business needs, and ensuring the smooth operation of the SharePoint infrastructure. The SharePoint Lead will also work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, create design documents, and oversee the deployment and maintenance of SharePoint solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Design and Implementation of SharePoint Solutions:
Architect and design SharePoint solutions that are scalable, secure, and meet business needs.
Develop custom SharePoint applications and features using SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, and other relevant tools.
Lead the migration of content from legacy systems to SharePoint.
SharePoint Administration:
Oversee the administration of the SharePoint environment, including site collections, web applications, and service applications.
Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of the SharePoint infrastructure.
Manage SharePoint security, including permissions and access controls.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of SharePoint developers and administrators.
Coordinate tasks, set priorities, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
Collaboration with Stakeholders:
Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SharePoint solutions.
Create and maintain design and technical documentation for SharePoint projects.
Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users and stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay up-to-date with the latest SharePoint features and best practices.
Recommend and implement improvements to the SharePoint environment.
Monitor SharePoint usage and implement strategies to optimize performance and user adoption.
Support and Troubleshooting:
Provide second and third-level support for SharePoint-related issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to SharePoint infrastructure and applications.
Coordinate with external vendors and support teams when necessary.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Microsoft SharePoint certification is preferred.
Experience:
7+ years of experience in SharePoint development and administration.
Proven experience leading a team in a SharePoint environment.
Experience with SharePoint Online and Office 365 integration.
Experience with SharePoint migration projects.
Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, including farms, site collections, and content databases.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, PowerShell, and related tools.
Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), REST API, and client-side development.
Experience with Sharegate Migration Tool
Familiarity with SharePoint workflow tools and processes.
Knowledge of .NET, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
Experience with SQL Server, IIS, and Windows Server in a SharePoint environment.
Soft Skills:
Strong Team Player.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

Office environment with occasional remote work options.
