Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver for web applications.
- Create and maintain automation frameworks (e.g., Keyword-driven, Data-driven, Hybrid frameworks).
- Identify, analyze, and report software defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Collaborate with manual testers, developers, and product teams to identify test scenarios and ensure quality coverage.
- Execute tests and track results to ensure that software meets requirements and performs reliably across environments.
- Conduct regression testing and perform tests across different browsers, devices, and operating systems.
- Contribute to the improvement of automation processes, tools, and techniques.
- Document test cases, results, and defects in a clear and comprehensive manner.
- Participate in agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
- Ensure continuous integration (CI) of automated tests in the build pipeline.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 1+ years in automation testing using Java and Selenium.
- Strong programming skills in Java.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for automation of web-based applications.
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber).
- Experience with version control tools such as Git or SVN.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo.
- Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) and browser developer tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., Sauce Labs, BrowserStack).
- Experience with API testing (REST/SOAP) using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Knowledge of SQL for database testing.
