About The Company
We are developing an Active AI product, an innovative AI-powered educational platform aimed at transforming education by providing personalized, self-paced learning experiences for students and efficient tools for educators. Our product is currently in development, and we are seeking an expert to help us validate and enhance our platform to meet real-world educational challenges, particularly within the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) framework.
Our corporate office is located in Mohali, India and we also have an office located in Bangalore, India.
Job description
We are seeking an experienced Educational Technology Consultant or Advisor with extensive experience working with CBSE schools and a strong background in instructional design. This role involves evaluating our platform, identifying current educational challenges, suggesting enhancements, and facilitating early adoption by collaborating with schools and educators. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between our technical team and the education sector, providing valuable insights to ensure our product effectively meets the needs of students and educators within the CBSE system.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Evaluation and Validation
- Usability Assessment: Test the platform s interface and functionalities to ensure it is user-friendly for both students and educators in CBSE schools.
- Needs Analysis: Determine how well the product addresses the specific needs and challenges of CBSE schools, educators, and students.
- Feedback Provision: Deliver detailed reports outlining strengths, weaknesses, and actionable recommendations for improvement.
2. Identifying Current Educational Challenges
- Research and Analysis: Investigate pressing issues within the CBSE education system, such as personalized learning gaps, assessment limitations, and resource accessibility.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct interviews and surveys with CBSE educators, administrators, and students to gather firsthand insights.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on the latest educational trends, instructional strategies, and technological advancements relevant to CBSE schools.
3. Suggesting Product Enhancements
- Instructional Design Implementation: Apply instructional design principles to improve the effectiveness of educational content and delivery methods within the platform.
- Feature Development: Propose new features or modifications that address identified challenges and enhance learning outcomes.
- Content Strategy: Advise on content creation that aligns with CBSE standards and effectively engages students using best practices in instructional design.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure the product adheres to CBSE educational policies, guidelines, and ethical standards.
4. Facilitating Early Adoption
- Pilot Programs: Coordinate with CBSE schools to implement pilot projects for real-world testing and feedback.
- Networking Leverage existing relationships with CBSE schools and educators to introduce the product to key decision-makers.
- Marketing Support Assist in developing strategies to promote the product to schools and educators, highlighting its benefits and alignment with CBSE objectives.
5. Guiding Strategic Direction
- Roadmap Development Collaborate with our team to create a strategic plan for product development and market entry specific to the CBSE context.
- Risk Management Identify potential obstacles within the CBSE framework and develop mitigation strategies.
- Continuous Improvement Establish mechanisms for ongoing product evaluation and enhancement based on instructional design principles and user feedback
Qualifications
- Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or Educational Technology Preferably a Master s degree focusing on instructional design, curriculum development, or educational technology.
- CBSE Expertise In-depth knowledge of the CBSE curriculum, assessment methods, policies, and operational practices.
Experience
- Experience with CBSE Schools Minimum of 8-10 years working directly with CBSE schools in roles such as educator, instructional designer, curriculum developer, administrator, or consultant.
- Instructional Design Extensive experience in instructional design, including designing curricula and learning experiences that meet CBSE standards.
- Educational Consulting Proven experience providing consultancy services to educational institutions or EdTech companies focusing on CBSE education.
- Product Evaluation Ability to evaluate educational products and provide actionable feedback to enhance their effectiveness within the CBSE framework.
- Networking Established relationships with CBSE schools, educators, administrators, and educational bodies.
Skills and Competencies
- Instructional Design Expertise : Proficiency in applying instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, Bloom s Taxonomy) to create effective and engaging educational content.
- Analytical Skills Ability to assess product usability, pedagogical effectiveness, and alignment with CBSE educational needs.
- Communication Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate discussions between our team and educational stakeholders.
- Innovative Thinking Creative in proposing solutions, enhancements, and instructional strategies that leverage technology.
- Project Management Capable of managing evaluation projects with clear objectives, timelines, and deliverables.

Additional Information
- Contract Duration: 6 months with the possibility of extension based on project needs.
- Location: While the role is primarily remote, occasional travel to meet with CBSE schools and educators may be required. We prefer people who can work from our Mohali/Bangalore offices.
