Position Title: Academic Counsellor

Location: Hyderabad

Position Overview:

The Admissions & Academic Counsellor is responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process and providing ongoing academic counselling to ensure student satisfaction, retention, and success. This role focuses on both admissions (60%) and academic services (40%). The primary objective is to ensure high-quality guidance, leading to successful conversions, retention, and overall satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Student Satisfaction:

• Provide clear and supportive counselling to students and parents.
• Address concerns empathetically and promptly.
• Improve the quality of counselling services based on feedback.
• KPI: Maintain a 90% satisfaction rate.

2. Achieving Target Admissions:

• Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly admissions targets.
• Provide detailed information to drive enrollment.
• Conduct timely follow-ups with leads.
• KPI: Achieve set enrollment targets.

3. Admission Conversion Rate:

• Convert prospective students into enrolled students effectively.
• Ensure timely and professional follow-ups on leads.
• Present courses, benefits, and career pathways persuasively.
• KPI: Achieve a 70% conversion rate.

4. Student Retention Rate:

• Offer ongoing academic counselling and support.
• Address academic or performance-related issues.
• Strengthen relationships with students and parents.
• KPI: Maintain an 80% retention rate.

5. Academic Services and Support:

• Provide guidance on coursework and academic expectations.
• Respond to queries from students and parents promptly.
• Collaborate with academic teams for personalized support.
• KPI: Ensure 85% satisfaction with academic services.

Behavioral Skills:

• Adherence to office timings and instructions.
• Maintain a 95% attendance rate.
• Exhibit strong performance and interest in skill improvement.
• Efficient problem-solving capabilities to address student concerns.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• Bachelors degree in any field (preferably in Education or Psychology).

Experience:

• Prior experience in admissions counselling or related fields preferred.
• Familiarity with educational institutions or coaching centers is an advantage.

Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational abilities and multitasking efficiency.
• Understanding of retention strategies and counselling techniques.
