Job Description
KT & SUPPORT - CST (24x7)
Key Responsibilities:
- Linux System Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or others).
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and file systems.
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and resource utilization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Ansible Automation:
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for server provisioning, configuration, and updates.
- Automate repetitive tasks such as patch management, software deployments, and compliance checks.
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate Ansible into CI/CD pipelines.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and manage system security measures, including firewalls, SELinux, and vulnerability scanning.
- Ensure systems comply with security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring and Backup:
- Set up and maintain system monitoring tools (e. g. , Nagios, Prometheus, or Zabbix).
- Configure and manage backup solutions for critical data and system states.
- Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide Level 2/3 support for Linux-related issues.
- Investigate and resolve incidents in a timely manner, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
- Documentation and Training:
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Train junior administrators on Linux and Ansible best practices.
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in Linux system administration.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Perl.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, IP routing, firewalls).
- Experience with version control systems (e. g. , Git).
- Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Certification in Linux (RHCSA, RHCE) or Ansible (Red Hat Certified Specialist).
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
