Director Software Engineering

• Own Bluetooth software profile and application roadmap, collecting business/customer requirements and working with the software development teams during development to deliver a great user experience end to end. Has accountability for the performance and results of the Bluetooth Software teams.
• Hands on involvement right from design, development, testing and delivery of Bluetooth profiles, applications and software customizations
• Lays out the direction of the evolution of Bluetooth Software and applications at Infineon.
• Develops plans, resources, schedules and project execution.
• Manages a large team of more than 25 engineers spread across different locations in India, Taiwan and the US.
• Focuses on Opportunities, high quality and on-time execution of dynamic software projects
• Engage with the business teams in defining the software roadmap for Bluetooth software
• Share knowledge, foster talents within the team
• Observe and proactively strategize on the software trends such as Bluetooth technologies and ecosystems evolve.
• Coach, facilitate and foster innovations and challenge the teams with new ideas
• Develop software design and implementation strategy across development

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• 15 + years relevant working experience on designing, developing, driving and delivering complex Bluetooth and 802.15.4 products.
• Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields.
• 15+ years hands on experience in Bluetooth controller, host stack, profiles and applications
• Deep understanding of RTOS (ThreadX, FreeRTOS or Zephyr required), Linux and/or Android software stack and building bare metal SW solutions.
• Ability to design solutions using different Bluetooth stacks such as in-house AIROC, Android or Zephyr for emerging use cases.
• Expert in one of the new Bluetooth technologies such as LE audio, channel sounding etc.
• Familiar with all audio codecs used in BTLE audio solutions, upcoming Bluetooth profile specifications
• Familiar with the competition, open source and technology trends in Bluetooth.
• ARM Cortex/ARC/RISC-V architecture knowledge, and SW development experience for these
• Hands on development in C/C++, assembly, using debuggers
• Experience and ability to design, develop, deliver and lead teams for SW solutions involving wireless communications systems
• Experience and ability to implement SW development processes, refine, re-define as required
• Specific experience in Bluetooth technology, software architecture, concept engineering, development and methodology to deliver excellent user experience that spans tools, content and kits.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with new ideas, technologies and implementation of software
• Wireless communications (Bluetooth/BLE and/or WiFi) protocol development experience on embedded systems, controller or host
