Roles and Responsibilities:

Drive analytics projects for our clients:

- Translate broad business problems into clear, coherent frameworks

- Deploy a complex toolkit a of problem-solving approaches, participate in brainstorming sessions with the team

- Manipulate, merge, or create hygienic datasets from a variety of sources; be the subject-matter expert on client data and trends

- Use advanced statistical techniques (regression, machine learning) to create predictive algorithms, economic valuation models, perform impact sizing, stress testing.

- Evaluate their performance and finetune them to suit business needs

- Combine insights from data and deep business understanding to create business cases and share recommendations with CXOs

- Independently write & parse complex SQL/Python code

Client and Project Management:

- Work directly with client maps to understand the business context and data trends

- Partner with them to address data issues and ensure consistency between data trends and actual business performance

- Present findings, updates, and recommendations to clients on a periodic basis

- Ensure smooth delivery of the project, provide periodic updates to Indus leadership & to clients, highlight roadblocks, etc.

Other Activities:

- Be involved in hiring activities of Indus or other internal workstreams, such as internal R&D projects, business development assistance, training sessions, etc.

Sample Business Problems Addressed:

- We develop sophisticated predictive models & machine learning algorithms for our clients, and act as their extended teams for ongoing analytical needs.

- Our focus is the financial services sector, where we add value in marketing analytics, customer management analytics (churn, lifetime value modelling, next-best-offer, etc.), and analytics in credit risk, pricing collections & fraud areas.

- Reducing the cost of operating airlines by creating accurate and optimized schedules

- Reducing losses for lending firms by creating machine learning-based models to identify high risk borrowers

- Increasing marketing effectiveness by targeting customers likely to use the credit card being offered

Key Expectations & Professional Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Technology/ Economics/ Commerce/ Statistics or Postgraduate with MBA from a top institute/ university Competency

- A curious person with a drive to solve business problems

- Someone with an entrepreneurial mindset & humility

- Be inclined to be a part of a high growth company

- Highly collaborative in nature and drive excellent relationships

- Ability to manage/interact with global stakeholders (internal & external)

- Preferably skilled or keen interest to learn tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python, Excel etc.
