Indore Cancer Foundation is looking for Palliative Care Physician to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey. Patient Care : Assess and manage the physical, emotional, and psychological symptoms experienced by patients with life-limiting illnesses, focusing on comfort and quality of life. Pain Management : Develop and implement personalized plans to alleviate pain and manage other distressing symptoms through medications, therapies, and other interventions. Communication : Engage in compassionate and effective communication with patients and their families, discussing treatment options, prognosis, and goals of care. Collaboration : Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other healthcare professionals, to address the various needs of patients. Advance Care Planning : Assist patients in making informed decisions about their care by discussing and documenting their preferences for end-of-life care and advance directives. Family Support : Offer guidance, support, and counseling to the families of patients, helping them cope with the challenges of having a loved one with a serious illness. Education : Provide education and training to other healthcare professionals, medical students, and residents on palliative care principles and practices. Requirements : Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school. Residency training in a primary specialty (such as internal medicine, family medicine, oncology) followed by additional fellowship training in palliative care. Board certification in palliative care (if available) or relevant board certification in the primary specialty. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with empathy and compassion. Ability to navigate complex and sensitive conversations with patients and families. Commitment to providing patient-centered care and improving quality of life for patients with serious illnesses.
