Overseas Education Counsellor

Role & responsibilities

1. Student Guidance and Consultation:

• Assist students in understanding various study-abroad opportunities, including universities, courses, scholarships, and visa procedures.
• Provide personalized counseling to help students choose suitable academic programs based on their interests, qualifications, and career goals.

2. Research and Information Management:

• Research and update information about foreign universities, colleges, and educational programs.
• Keep track of deadlines, entrance requirements, and scholarships for various institutions abroad.

3. Application Assistance:

• Guide students through the application process for studying abroad, including selecting courses, preparing required documents (such as SOP, LOR), and completing application forms.
• Assist in coordinating with universities to ensure the timely submission of applications and supporting documents.

4. Visa and Documentation Support:

• Help students with visa application processes and documentation required for travel abroad.
• Offer advice on visa interviews and maintaining compliance with host country regulations.

5. Communication with Overseas Institutions:

• Liaise with partner universities and educational institutions abroad to stay updated on program offerings, application deadlines, and admissions policies.
• Facilitate communication between students and universities for inquiries or clarifications.

6. Administrative Tasks:

• Maintain records of student profiles, applications, and progress.
• Handle inquiries via email, phone, or in-person meetings.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, universities, and other stakeholders.
• A master's degree or ongoing studies in a relevant field (e.g., Education, International Relations, or Counseling).
• Research and analytical skills to stay updated on educational trends and opportunities.
• Knowledge of visa processes, application procedures, and international education systems is an advantage.
• A keen interest in education, global cultures, and student services.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
