Senior Scala Developer (Backend Developer)

Shift: 2.30 PM to 11 PM

Mandatory Skills:

• Java/C#/JavaScript/Scala

Scala functional programming, RESTful, Microservices

• Design and implement robust back-end systems using Scala.
• Key Technical skills
• Back-end API Scala
• Play2 framework
• Typelevel ecosystem (Fs2, Cats Effect, Http4s)
• Database: Mongo DB
• Messaging: Kafka + Hermes
• Security/IdP: Okta
• Cloud/Deployment: AWS (primarily EC2), Kubernetes, Docker
• DevOps/CI-CD: JIRA, Github, Github actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD
• Work with product management and the development team to design, develop, and deliver features and enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with peers to develop clean code: readable, testable, high quality, performant, and secure.
• Develop code using pair and team programming approaches.
• Develop APIs that are reliable and efficient for consumption by front-end applications.
• Optimize application performance through profiling and tuning of database queries.
• Perform peer code reviews and walk-throughs.
• Automate testing and deployment of software to enable delivering improvements to customers on a regular cadence.
• Work closely with the agile team to innovate and improve everything.
• Stay updated with industry trends regarding best practices in back-end technologies.
