Purpose:

The Software Test Engineer will ensure the delivery of high-quality software products through comprehensive testing, identifying bugs, and ensuring compliance with functional, performance, and scalability requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Summary:

Category Responsibilities Test Planning and Execution:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop and execute test cases for different software functionalities, including UI, backend, and integration layers, ensuring coverage of business requirements.

Manual & Automation Testing:

• Build and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium or Python etc.
• Ensure automation coverage for key features and functionality.
• Design and implement test automation frameworks to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Conduct performance testing to ensure that the software can handle expected and unexpected loads and is stable under various conditions.

Bug Identification and Reporting:

• Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution.
• Provide clear, actionable bug reports and testing summaries for stakeholders.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify test requirements, report bugs, and ensure timely resolution

Requirements:

Skill Description Technical Expertise:

• Manual Testing, Test Automation Fundamentals, and Test Case Design.
• End-to-End Testing and Documentation.
• Automation Frameworks like Selenium, Robot Framework, Cucumber & Rest-Assured.
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).

Problem-Solving Skills:

• Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills to articulate testing results and issues clearly.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
