Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with expertise in Blu Age and Mainframe Modernization to join our dynamic team

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving modernization efforts, leveraging Blu Age tools to automate the transformation of legacy mainframe systems, and delivering solutions that ensure optimal system performance and scalability

This position will involve working closely with business stakeholders and other IT professionals to develop strategies and implement migration solutions.

Key Responsibilities



Blu Age Expertise:Leverage Blu Age automation tools to analyze, modernize, and transform legacy mainframe applications into more modern and scalable solutions.

Mainframe Modernization:Lead initiatives for migrating and modernizing core mainframe systems, including the re-platforming or re-architecting of mainframe-based applications.

Application Development & Maintenance:Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications to ensure they continue to meet business needs during the transition to modern platforms.

Collaboration with Stakeholders:Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Performance Optimization:Monitor and optimize mainframe systems for maximum efficiency and performance during the modernization process.

Support & Troubleshooting:Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for mainframe applications, both preand post-modernization.

Documentation & Reporting:Prepare detailed documentation and reports on modernization processes, development activities, and the overall progress of migration efforts.

Required Qualifications

Experience:Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience with mainframe development and modernization, including extensive experience using Blu Age for automating mainframe application transformation.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, CICS, DB2, IMS, and JCL.

Familiarity with mainframe architecture, system performance tuning, and integration strategies.

Proficient in Blu Age tools and methodologies for mainframe modernization, including migration of legacy applications to cloud or distributed environments.

Strong understanding of modern development practices, including DevOps, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).

Problem Solving:Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues in both legacy and modernized systems.

Communication:Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Project Management:Experience in working within Agile and/or Waterfall project environments.

Education:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
