The APAC Senior Accountant is a key liaison between the global finance function and ILC Dover in the APAC region. She/He will be responsible for statutory accounting and reporting for APAC entities (currently India and Singapore) and associated internal controls of the Company in accordance with Company financial policies and other appropriate financial management techniques and practices.
The successful candidate will be an experienced accountant with a reputation for thoroughness, accuracy, quantitative analysis ability and interpersonal skills.
Essential Responsibilities: Maintain financial records in good order, and provide support to global finance staff and outside auditors needing to refer to those recordsAccountable for an efficient and reliable quarterly and year-end financial reporting processPrepare monthly inter-company invoicing in accordance with transfer pricing policies
Complete bank and other account reconciliations and promptly resolve variances Coordinate and lead in completing the annual statutory audits and support US global audit Develop relationships with local tax consultants and compile information and effectively communicate with tax advisors to ensure local tax complianceAssist FP&A function in creation of annual budget and forecasts as well as monitoring and analyzing department performance to budget
Qualifications:An ideal background will include experience in a global, growth-oriented industrial manufacturing organization. Although not a requirement for the role, experience in the life science industry is a plus.
This person must have a strong process orientation and a demonstrated track record of being a user as well as a provider of information. She/he will possess the following: Degree in Accounting
Minimum of 2 years? experience with a major accounting firm involved in auditing and reporting on financial statements or similar level of experience in a corporate settingStrong computer skills and proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Power BI.Proven record and passion for continuous improvement mindset and self-starting/proactive attitude with strong attention to detail and accuracyKnowledge of finance and accounting principles including US GAAP, local statutory, company internal policies and procedures, and internal control frameworks.
