Junior Accountant

Role & responsibilities

Reporting

• Preparing detailed monthly management accounts
• Preparing annual budget and forecast
• Variance analysis of P&L, and Budget vs Actual

Costing

• Collating production information required for costing calculations.
• Costing of raw materials, WIP and finished goods.
• Calculation and processing of cost of sales transactions.
• Stock management and count procedures (together with maintaining suitable stock records for control) and reconciling of inventory ledgers.
• Prepares, examines and analyses accounting records relating to manufacturing including inventory and cost of sales (variable cost analysis/ costing sheets/ month end production reports).
• Review and monitor the process KPI on monthly basis against the budget

General Accounting

• Reconciliation of relevant accounts to the general ledger.
• Preparation of VAT returns and reconciliations
• Process journal entries and performing invoice corrections.
• Undertaking financial administration and monitoring auditing practices
• Provide technical support to the FM.
• Responding to ad hoc requirements and queries from the FM and CEO.
• Liaising with managerial staff and other colleagues and supervising junior financial department staff.
• Review monthly provision accounting
• Preparation of Financial statement with variance analysis
• SAP Automation & established Internal controls

Preferred candidate profile

• B. Com, MBA & Accounting Degree or any Professional Accounting qualification.
• More than 3 years in manufacturing in an accounting management role.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail.
