Job Description

  • This role is on contract basis for 6 months and you will be working for 24hrs/week.

Checkout Services Co-Worker


Your responsibilities will include:


• To ensure check-out is effectively equipped at all times throughout the day and you are ready and available to help customers when needed.
• Have the knowledge, confidence, and desire to make customer payment easy.
• Know the levels of authorisation to solve payment problems when they occur and recognise when you need to escalate an issue to someone with higher authorisation and pass on the relevant information for them to deal effectively and efficiently with the customer.
• Offer solutions to frequently asked questions. This helps to make a better future shopping experience for everyone.
• Use the till to accurately register products and register payment from customers according to given routines.
• Ensure our store is always a safe and secure environment for visitors and colleagues.
• Understanding the importance of accurate stock inventory and how my own actions impact on this.
• Understanding global solutions, tools and working methods and the IKEA Concept and ensuring you use the appropriate manuals and other education tools to support me in maximising our customers shopping experience.
• Contributing to the check-out action plan and taking ownership for my part in its delivery.
• Listening to feedback from customer when given and passing this on to my manager.


Customer Relations Coworker


Your responsibilities will be as below

  • Optimise the relationship with our customers to drive sales growth and sustained long-term profitability
    •Ensuring you know the IKEA product range and services and actively work to offer alternative solutions that meet the needs of individual customers
    •Understanding the importance of accurate stock inventory and how my own actions impact on this.
    •Understanding the IKEA Concept, global solutions, tools and working methods and ensuring I use the appropriate manuals from Inter IKEA Systems to help me optimise our customers shopping experience.
    •Contributing to departments action plan and taking ownership for your part in its delivery.
    •Listening to feedback from customers when it is given and passing this on to your manager.
    •Working with managers to identify solutions to customer issues.
    •Should know the Customer Relations action plan and support the goals and targets given to you by your manager to ensure the effective execution of our action plan.
    • Should have an overview of the store action plan and understand how the Customer Relations action plan supports this.
    • Know our daily and weekly service targets and this drives me to improve our service delivery.
    • Understand the impact of your actions on the financial results of my area and know which results I have influence over and how to balance this with the needs of my customers.
    • Should follow cash handling procedures to ensure the security of all monies received.


IKEA Food Co-Worker


You will be responsible working in the department team operationally, act upon customer feedback,implementation the global and national compliance standards and contributing to the overall food competence in the store.


Additionally, you will be responsible for:


Act as a commercial business partner within the IKEA business in the store.
•Be part of the department team in realising the IKEA Retail Food business, considering the IKEA brand position, strategies, legal compliance and people and planet positive in all IKEA touchpoints as well as promoting IKEA as a great place to work
•Contribute to implementing the global and national compliance standards to secure a safe environment for customers and co-workers
• Contributes to the IKEA brand position by acting as a brand ambassador for IKEA and IKEA Retail Food
• Contributes to securing the customer experience and exceeding customer expectations
• Applies the retail foundations and sales steering tools optimising commerciality
• Contributes to continuous improvement by seeking and acting upon customer feedback
• Act on own initiative and both give and take responsibility when taking actions
• Ensures own development through building competence and contribute to a high performing team
• Contributes to the implementation of the unit business plan and the IKEA Retail Food business plan and other action plans
• Contribute to the implementation of the global and national sustainability strategies


Sales Co-worker


Your responsibilities will be as below:


•Optimise the IKEA shopping experience in your shop to secure satisfied customers and increase sales.
•Maximise sales in your area of responsibility using knowledge of your product range, your top-sellers, 3 Aces and 1 King and the local market and customers. You use IKEA tools and the experience and expertise of your colleagues. You support the efficient working of the IKEA mechanical sales system to ensure the continued success of the IKEA Concept.
•You contribute to fulfilling the four tasks of the IKEA store:
• to act as a highly efficient, and staffed sales mechanism
• to show home furnishing solutions full of inspiring home furnishing ideas
• to serve as a well-qualified home furnishing specialist
• to provide a day out for the whole family.
•You actively approach customers who you see require additional help. You identify their needs by asking the right questions and advise them on the best solutions for their homes to exceed their expectations.
•You understand how to use the different IKEA sales and communication channels and know-how for the different customers you meet.
•You keep your area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked, and ensure that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are always in place to give customers a positive shopping experience.
•You convey passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits, and you share this knowledge with customers and colleagues.
•You understand the store and department action plans. You take responsibility for your department goals and know how you contribute.
•You actively offer all the services available in the IKEA store to help customers make informed choices, which results in a better shopping experience for them.
•You lead and/or support the implementation of planned commercial activities involving your department throughout the store.
•You ensure you maximise sales whilst maintaining profitability by knowing and actively steering towards the top-selling and prioritised products (e.g. overstock/övertag).
•You demonstrate the ability to analyse and adjust sales space capacities based on system parameters (sales location management) to secure high stock availability.
•You are familiar with the IKEA social and environmental commitments and know how you can contribute to sustainability.
