IIGJ-Research Laboratories Centre (formerly, GJEPC-Gem Testing Laboratory) is looking for Sr. Design Faculty to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey.We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our Art and Design Department as a Graphic Design Faculty member. This position involves teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in graphic design, contributing to curriculum development, mentoring students, and engaging in professional and scholarly activities.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching:
Deliver high-quality instruction in graphic design courses, including but not limited to typography, branding, digital media, UX/UI design, and design theory.
Develop and update course syllabi, assignments, projects, and exams.
Utilize innovative teaching methods and technologies to enhance student learning.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
Curriculum Development:
Participate in the development and revision of the graphic design curriculum.
Collaborate with faculty to ensure curriculum aligns with industry standards and emerging trends.
Advising and Mentoring:
Advise and mentor students on academic, career, and professional development matters.
Supervise student projects, internships, and independent studies.
Professional Development and Scholarly Activity:
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
Conduct research and/or creative work in the field of graphic design.
Participate in exhibitions, conferences, and publications.
Service and Collaboration:
Participate in department, college, and university committees and initiatives.
Foster relationships with industry partners and community organizations.
Contribute to the promotion and development of the Art and Design Department.
