Lead Operational Risk

About the Job Brief description of the role, however not limiting to below points:

1. Develop and implement an operational risk strategy and policy across the organization.

2. Collaborate with business units and support functions to review product notes, SOPs, and identify operational risks, highlighting gaps and recommending improvements.

3. Monitor and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for each function and analyze operational loss events.

4. Engage with central functions and branches to promote operational risk awareness and reinforce process controls.

5. Conduct branch visits to identify process and policy gaps, assess fraud risks, and suggest policy changes for improved operational security.

6. Facilitate Risk & Control Self-Assessments, actively participate in assessments, and verify results to ensure robust risk management.

7. Implement the operational risk framework and conduct periodic Operational Risk Management Committee (ORMC) meetings.

8. Perform vendor risk assessments for outsourced services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Skills Required

▫ Knowledge of operational risk management principles, policies, and frameworks.

▫ Ability to identify, assess, and report risks; analyse operational loss events.

▫ Strong communication skills to work with business units, support functions, and branches.

▫ Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to operational risk and outsourcing. Qualification : Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
